I've found that maintaining a course blog is an excellent way for me to communicate with absent students and to make sure that my expectations for your studies are communicated consistently. Please email ewcwriter@live.ca and ask to be added to this blog. Be sure to include your full name--I have many students this semester. Once you have been added to the blog, you will be able to create your own posts and add comments.

...which brings me to my next point. Ask questions and make comments! If you are the type of student who tends to be a little quiet in class, this is your chance to enter the conversation about the course and the course material. I will consider your blog performance as oral participation since it is really a virtual conversation.
